On May 7, 2024, a day prior to the Forge Futures for Youth, Educators, & Families: A National Summit, the Global Education Leaders’ Partnership (GELP) will host an invitation-only pre-summit meeting in Pittsburgh, PA with Remake Learning, AASA, The School Superintendents Association, and Digital Promise. This significant event will feature influential educational ecosystems from around the world sharing their insights and experiences. The session will include contributions from six distinct global learning ecosystems:
- Pittsburgh, USA – Represented by Remake Learning, showcasing innovative educational strategies and community partnerships.
- Doncaster, UK – With Claire Cardwell and Riana Nelson discussing their approaches to transformative education.
- Catalonia, Spain – Highlighted by Enric Aragones, sharing the region’s initiatives in integrating technology with education.
- Bogota, Colombia – Presented by Gaby Arenas from TAAP, focusing on adaptive learning environments and community engagement.
- Ancash, Peru – Franco Mosso from Efecto Ancash will speak on rural educational development and its impacts.
- Finland – Kirsi Lehto from DigiOne will explore advanced digital learning platforms and their implementation in Finnish education.
This pre-summit meeting offers a unique opportunity for leaders to exchange ideas, learn from diverse educational models, and collaboratively draft frameworks.
