Aisha Karanja

Aisha is a seasoned professional with years of experience in environmental and community development, skilled in utilizing innovative techniques to reconcile development and the environment. She is the founder and CEO of Back to Basics, a Kenya-based organisation that is effecting positive change through basics. The organisation is demystifying solutions in the areas of sustainable livelihoods, environmental stewardship, women and youth empowerment. Aisha holds a Master’s degree in Community Development and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, economics, and sociology both from Agra University, India. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in journalism and mass communications.
