Out of Africa: Third Sector Innovations in Education

LPF-2023-Poster-1

How do we support learners of all ages in adapting to, thriving in, and even shaping the world around us?

When the formal education sector struggles to keep pace with the changing needs of today’s society and learners, non-governmental organisations and civil society organisations often step in to address the unmet needs. Our panellists from Eswatini, Kenya, and Zimbabwe demonstrate that some of the most simple yet innovative solutions are coming out of Africa at the grassroots level.

Preparing young school leavers to support themselves and their families. Getting people talking and learning about taboo issues in a safe and supportive manner. Providing meaningful lifelong learning that benefits both people and the environment. Join us to be inspired by their approaches, their challenges, and their advice.

Moderated by Professors Without Borders, a UK-registered NGO that works with local partners around the globe to deliver engaging, relevant, and holistic educational experiences to help equip learners with the skills necessary to be inspiring leaders and have meaningful impact in their communities.
