Winjoy Makena Nyaru

Winjoy is a Kenyan Rover Scout and WOSM volunteer on the Intergenerational Collaboration Project, focusing on youth leadership and intergenerational power dynamics. With over five years of experience in Scouting and youth-led environments, she has a proven track record of mentoring young people, leading diverse teams, and supporting youth-led decision-making at different levels. She is passionate about creating spaces where young people and adults work collaboratively, with youth meaningfully included in leadership and decision-making. When not working, she enjoys cycling, camping, crocheting, and spending time in nature.
