Taiye Ojo

Ojo Taiye is a Nigerian eco-activist, writer and researcher who works actively in communities and shares a passion for the intersection of culture, language, perception and the environment. His practice is collaborative, working across text-based media, installation, sound, film and performance. His works and writings have been featured in publications and festivals around the world. He is also a recipient of the 2023 Ars Electronica State of the ART(ist) Award, 2023 West African Writers (WAW) Residency, LOATAD, and the G.A.S. Fellowship Award, 2023. His current project explores neocolonialism, institutionalized violence and ecological trauma in the oil-rich, polluted Niger delta, with a particular focus on the aspects of culture, the relation of human, nature, and rural space.
