Stephen Dhoal Mathew Wanbang

Stephen Dhoal Mathew Wanbang is a refugee rights, sexual reproductive health and rights
(SRHR) advocate, refugee researcher and a peace builder from South Sudan living in Uganda
as a refugee. His advocacy, research and peace building experience in displaced settings spans
to five years.
Having experienced displacement himself, his passion in advocating for his fellow refugee rights
stems from his own experiences of displacement. He is currently a co-founder at Youth Action
for Community Transformation (YACOT) and served with many international organizations like
Windle International Uganda, Resettlement Support Center (RSC Africa), IDinsight and Center
for Evaluation and Development Uganda (C4ED)
