Shaireen Rasheed, PhD is a professor of Philosophy, Education and Diversity/Social Justice at Long Island University in New York. She is also a a visiting professor at the University of Heidelberg of Education in Germany and a was a Fulbright visiting professor at the University of Salzburg. For the 2023-2024 year she is a visiting scholar in the Department of Philosophy at Columbia University.
She has published and lectured extensively on issues related to anti-racist pedagogy and inclusion, right wing populism, intercultural dialogue, gender, Islamophobia, creating sustainable and civic minded curriculum for refugees and migrants and issues of belonging.
