Sejal Desai

Sejal is the Executive Director of Akanksha Education Fund, an education nonprofit that runs 27 public-private partnership schools in India, serving children from low-income communities in three cities in Maharashtra. For over two decades, Akanksha has worked to create pathways out of poverty through high-quality, innovative education.
Sejal’s career spans accounting, consulting, venture capital, M&A, and the nonprofit sector, and she has long advocated for education, hunger relief, and women-focused causes in India and the US. She has received leadership honors including the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year. She holds an MBA from UT-Dallas.
