Roy Wadia
Regional Communications Manager
Since February 2022, Roy Wadia has served as Regional Communications Manager at the WHO European Regional Office in Copenhagen, covering 53 countries across Europe and Central Asia. Issues of focus include health emergencies (COVID-19, the Ukraine war, mpox); non-communicable diseases; HIV and tuberculosis; environmental health; mental health; and health systems development.
Earlier, Roy was Regional Communications Advisor for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Asia-Pacific Regional Office based in Bangkok, Thailand, whose mandate encompassed achieving zero maternal deaths, zero unmet need for family planning and zero gender-based violence and harmful practices against women and girls.
