The Currents Collective represents a portfolio of youth-led initiatives ranging from documentaries to seagrass restoration projects and app-based wildlife conservation tools.
They are united by the common goal of raising awareness, educating the public, and empowering youth to take action toward change benefiting long-term ocean sustainability. To celebrate UN International Day of Education 2025, the Collective is organizing its global event to co-design and co-construct the future of ocean sustainability.
Currents Collective is led by Narida Charanachitta, who is based in Thailand. She completed two documentaries: Giants of the Deep: The Whale Shark Story and Beyond the Surface: The Whale.
