Kokoro Okamoto 

Ms. Kokoro Okamoto is a half-Japanese, half-Indian national born in Japan and raised in New Delhi. She began her academic journey studying psychology, developing expertise in environmental attitudes and behaviors.

In 2025, she completed her master’s degree in Global Environmental Studies at Sophia University in Tokyo. Her research offered a comparative analysis of plastic waste management approaches across Japan, India, and Bolivia.

Her work sits at the intersection of environmental sustainability, international collaboration, and inclusive governance. She has gained international experience through her internship with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Bolivia, focusing on environmental conservation and cultural exchange.
