John Gilmour is a South African educator and social entrepreneur who founded the LEAP Science and Maths Schools, a network of public-benefit schools serving township communities, and later the LEAP Institute, which works with schools as hubs for community transformation and leadership development. His work is grounded in Ubuntu and a commitment to humanising education by centring dignity, equity and the lived knowledge of young people and their communities.
