For fourteen years Inger Harber has worked across different development thematic areas including area-based violence prevention interventions; disaster risk reduction and vocational education and training. Her career highlights include revolutionising the Participatory Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment tool in 2012/2013; leading Oxfam in South Africa’s response to xenophobic violence in 2015; coordinating the first African Risk Methods School at Ardhi University in 2018; and being part of GIZ’s flagship SPRINT Project 2020-2023. Inger has internationally recognised expertise in responsive DRR training and a Master’s Degree in Development Studies exploring information and communication technology (ICT) in education and learning.
