Chaewon Ida Joung was born and raised in the bustling city of Shanghai, while acquiring collegiate-level learning experiences in the United States; together, this has helped her develop an appreciation for diverse cultures. She is a passionate and driven individual, with a keen interest in debating, Model United Nations (MUN), and Latin. She especially loves the phrase, “Vincit qui se vincit”, which translates to “He conquers who conquers himself”. She founded Trials of Civility, with a mission to create a stronger legal foundation towards a more equitable world for underprivileged and differently abled communities.
