Professor Confortini is a Professor and Director of the Peace and Justice Studies Program at Wellesley College and an international relations scholar-activist. She is the author of Intelligent Compassion: Feminist Critical Methodology in the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) and co-editor of the Handbook of Feminist Peace Research. She has served as U.S. Representative and Vice President on the WILPF International Board and has advocacy experience on multiple levels as a domestic violence shelter counselor, women’s human rights workshop facilitator, and a fundraiser for peace organizations and legislative initiatives.
