Carmela Salzano
Senior Project Officer @ UNESCO
Carmela Salzano is an international development specialist with nearly 30 years of experience, principally with the United Nations system, with thematic expertise in the areas of local economic development, youth employment, migration, education and digital transformation.
She currently lead UNESCO’s Priority Africa Flagship, Campus Africa. Prior to this, she was with the Global Partnership for Education leading technical support work on partnership building and partner coordination through country Local Education Groups.
She holds a Master in Local Economic Development from London School of Economics and have authored several high-level
reports for the MDGs, ILO, G20 Education Working Group.
