Candice Carr Kelman

Candice Carr Kelman studies policy dimensions of sustainability issues.
She has studied Integrated Conservation and Development Projects in Indonesian national parks, the global
trade in electronic waste, and collaborative approaches to ecosystem stewardship.
Two major themes in Carr Kelman’s research are the complex relationships between environment and development, and the role of governance and institutions in creating more resilient socio-ecological systems.
Her current research is about collaborative conservation in Arizona. She has taught courses on Environmental politics, Policy and governance for sustainability, Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Livelihoods, and Corporate social responsibility.
