Berna Aslan is known to be a dreamer, curious and passionate learner, maker and a gamer. She studied American Culture and Literature at university. She received her CELTA, CELTA-Young Learner Extension and did her M.A in Curriculum and Instructional Programs. She has been working as an English teacher at different levels since 2006. With her interest in technology and games, she earned the titles of Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Google Educator and Apple Professional Learning Specialist. She is also a teacher trainer and works with NGOs. Her teaching and research interests include educational technology, material development, gamification, game-based learning, inquiry-based learning, differentiated instructions, social emotional learning, visible thinking strategies, growth mindset, storytelling, critical, creative and reflective thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
