Alix Mcdonald
Head of the Centre for Lifelong Learning @ University of Strathclyde
Alix McDonald has been Head of the Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) at the University of Strathclyde since 2016. She has over two decades of experience developing and delivering adult learning to diverse audiences.
In 2017, she established Strathclyde’s Age-Friendly Academy 2017, designed to demonstrate the university’s commitment to learning throughout the life course. CLL is also home to the University’s two most extensive online Master’s programs, a large program of short classes for adults attracting over 3,000 students annually, and a MOOC in Family History Research attracting over 65,000 learners.
