The Social Economy is an ecosystem that helps the planet while working for the people by not only ensuring our prosperity against future threats but also enhancing it, specifically focusing on increasing people’s short-term and long-term quality of life by focusing on sustainable financing, infrastructure investment, and poverty reduction. Soconomy, created by combining the names of the two pillars we focus on (‘Social’ and ‘Economy’), is an organization that aims to work towards accomplishing this ecosystem by driving collective stakeholder action. Founded by Jeenaev Shah, Soconomy advocates for policies and initiatives relevant to this goal on a global scale and seeks to mobilize youth attention, international governance organization efforts, and capital investment towards accomplishing the Social Economy.
