WE Change Presents: “An Exploration Into The Impacts of Misinformation: Examples and Causes”

Despite misinformation being a less renowned global issue, it impacts all the SDGs and people around the world. The event aims to shed light on how misinformation impacts the world from a local to global scale by using statistics on economic costs and examples of specific regions affected by misinformation. Ultimately, spreading awareness of misinformation and urging people to work toward tangible solutions is its goal. Founded by Danie Yao, WE Change aims to help people around the world with funding for NGOs and tackling world issues by targeting misinformation. Its mission is to tackle government inaction by dissecting current decision making and disinformation and their issues, and finding plausible solutions to help improve the lives of people around the world to build better collective action over global issues that affect the future of humanity and planet.
