Join us at Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona where SPV Lab citizen scientists will host a tour of their agrivoltaics citizen science research garden site. The tour will be led by high school students who are members of the agrivoltaics after school club led by Ms. Mandy Heal. Student will showcase their control and experimental garden site and explain how they collect, analyze, and share data related to garden beds with and without solar panels in their small-scale agricultural context. They will share how this project relates to their vision of the interlinked future of plants, panels, and people in Sonoran Desert communities. SPV Lab citizen science research facilitators from Arizona State University will also be on hand to answer questions about the SPV Lab agrivoltaics citizen science network.
