With 183 conflicts currently unfolding worldwide, the imperative for effective peacebuilding has never been more urgent. Reflecting this priority, 46,000 young people globally have identified “Peace” as their top concern (Youth Talks, 2023).
This session spotlights young changemakers, true artisans of peace, who are bringing positive peace to their communities. Peace is more than the absence of war; it is a dynamic and multifaceted process that addresses the root causes of conflict, promotes equity, and creates opportunities for all. Through their on-the-ground work, ideas, and innovative approaches, these leaders prove that peace is not a single effort but a ripple effect created by intersecting disciplines and perspectives.
Featuring inspiring youth on-the-ground efforts, an engaging panel discussion with global leaders in peacebuilding, and engagement with participants, this session highlights the impact of placing youth as beneficiaries and co-creators, strategists, and changemakers in conflict transformation.
Join us to explore the interconnected nature of peacebuilding, celebrate the diverse contributions of youth globally, and uncover how we can all nurture a global culture of positive peace.
