This conference explores martial arts as a high-value educational practice. We will examine martial practice and its educational value from a systemic perspective that integrates history, philosophy, psychology, sociology, and pedagogy into a coherent account of martial arts as a locus of embodied learning. The conference also includes a cross-cultural discussion of martial arts practice as a mediator of inclusion.
