During this event, we will present the transformative learning approach that we’ve developed in the past five years in close collaboration with Utrecht University, as well as the facilitator training that supports educators, trainers, and coaches to use it in their own contexts.
This approach, called the Worldview Journey, supports learners to explore, exchange, and expand their worldviews, while developing important capabilities like self-reflection, listening, and connectedness. In our many test-pilots of this approach, students have responded overwhelmingly positive to this unique opportunity for existential reflection, deep exchange, and planetary engagement.
The approach uses a range of transformative learning methods, like journaling and dialogue practices, and includes several potent learning activities, like a worldview test, worldview interview, and a guided nature walk. The Worldview Journey is supported by excellent learning resources, including a travel journal, lecture videos, and learner platform, and may therefore be used by other educators and trainers with relative ease. It can be used in a wide range of learning- and change-contexts, including higher education, (young) adult education, and life long learning education.
The event will consist of a short, lively presentation, followed up by space for questions, discussion, and exchange.
