Paint It White, Cool the Fight: GENGAIA Global Kickoff & Networking

GENGAIA’s first Learning Planet Institute conference event is a global kickoff and networking session that brings together youth, educators, and community partners interested in environmental justice and practical climate adaptation. Launched in celebration of UNESCO’s International Day of Education, the session introduces GENGAIA’s mission to (1) reduce urban heat and climate inequality through youth-led cool roof action and (2) build a worldwide collaboration network designed specifically for youth—the next generation of climate leaders. Participants will connect with peers from different countries, share local heat and environmental challenges, and learn how the GENGAIA model operates. Led by founder William Pan, the session will also outline the organization’s global structure, begin planning the first cool roof initiatives, and identify pathways for launching regional sectors all across the globe. This event serves as the official launch of GENGAIA and will conclude with clear next steps toward pilot projects and local partnerships.
