How does the human brain develop, and what happens when artificial intelligence becomes part of that discovery process?

In this session, physician and computational neuroscience researcher Dr. Harvey Dienye shares his journey at the intersection of medicine, neuroscience, and AI. Drawing from his PhD research, he explores how AI is used to analyze brain scans, study brain maturation, and generate synthetic data in contexts where privacy and ethics strictly limit access to real patient data.

Beyond the technical tools, this conversation opens a wider reflection on learning, development, and responsibility. What does brain development reveal about how humans learn? What can AI help us see, and where must human judgment remain central? This event invites educators, technologists, students, and curious minds to engage with neuroscience not as an abstract science, but as a living, human story shaped by real constraints and real impact.
