The integration of AI into education raises challenges and fears but also offers significant opportunities in personalisation, efficiency, and accessibility. How true is this? How is AI already impacting learning models? Can AI enhance student engagement, improve outcomes, and benefit lower-skilled learners? Will it broaden access for differently-abled individuals, or will it worsen the digital divide, widening the gap between educational ideals and realities?
This interactive panel will explore AI’s potential to scale effective teaching approaches across diverse contexts, including the Global South, while keeping human educators and learners at the core. Informed by the Centre for Curriculum Redesign’s work, participants will examine AI’s role in personalising education, facilitating knowledge sharing, and evolving the role of teachers in designing and delivering quality learning.
Aligned with the Learning Planet Institute’s mission, the discussion will focus on empowering youth to articulate needs, co-create solutions, and influence decision-making. Together, we’ll imagine collaborative pathways to advance research, education, and policies that foster meaningful connections between youth, educators, institutions, and youth-led organisations at national and international levels. The goal: to co-develop transformative programmes that ensure education meets the needs of today’s learners and prepares them for tomorrow.
