Initiated by Adrianne Cheung, Equaliable and Future of Psychology celebrates UNESCO’s International Day of Education by launching an initiative addressing 2025’s “Joint Call to Strengthen Policy and Investment for Child and Youth Mental Health and Well-Being” by UNESCO, UNICEF, UN Youth Office and WHO.
Echoing the key pillar focused on investing in prevention, promotion, and protection through an ecosystem and whole-of-society approach, this multi-part education campaign aims to connect community-based, school-based, and digital services with education, health and child protection systems.
We call upon the wider UNESCO and UN University ecosystem to support this approach. To create a more just and adaptive juvenile court system, we must recognise youth as partners and leaders, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and embed wellbeing and resilience to maximise adolescent cognitive and emotional development as a pathway to prevent delinquency.
