Students from HEC Paris' Business & Peace academy and HEC Imagine program dialogue with seasoned business and human rights professionals Olena Uvarova and Vicky Bowman. Together, they will discuss some of the pressing issues related to responsible business conduct in conflict-affected areas and the importance of educating future generations on these challenges.
The Business & Peace academy is a 3-week program for M1 students on the business-conflict-peace nexus.
The HEC Imagine program offers fellowships for students from conflict-affected countries and pedagogic activities for HEC Paris students on business, peace and human rights.
Olena Uvarova is a leading expert on business & human rights, chair of the International BHR Lab and associate professor at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (Kharkiv). She is also the co-president of the Global Business and Human Rights Scholars Association.
Vicky Bowman is a former diplomat, director of the Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business and senior adviser at the Institute for Human Rights and Business.
