Altruism becomes powerful when designed into systems. This session introduces Altruistic Design principles — benefiting the whole, reducing harm, increasing participation, and regenerating resources — and applies them to education, wellbeing, and local economies. Participants will reflect on their own contexts, identify opportunities for care, and co create small interventions that embody altruism in action. The session balances conceptual clarity with collaborative energy, leaving space for questions and dialogue. Participants will leave with a practical template for embedding altruistic principles into their projects and organisations, proving that designing for others is not only ethical but also the most pragmatic innovation for the future.
