Selena Marwaha

@ Youth representative

At the age of 10, Selena has made remarkable strides in environmental advocacy, climate education, and innovation. She was the youngest and only girl finalist in the Renew Our Earth Water Conservation Challenge, held by SIWI Stockholm at age 8, where her innovation to save water in school toilets received widespread acclaim.

As a speaker at COP28 Dubai and COP29 Azerbaijan, she has continued to advocate for climate education, the role of the SDGs, mentorship, and fostering a technological innovation mindset in schools. She was honored to speak at the Learning Planet Institute in Paris on World Youth Skills Day 2025 as a young advocate in the era of globalization. There, she shared her personal journey and highlighted how “UN at Your Doorstep” brings youth and world leaders together to learn about pressing global challenges and co-create solutions.

Having won numerous robotics and technology awards, her innovations for environmental sustainability demonstrate that age is not a barrier, but an advantage, showing that early action can drive meaningful change.

She has collaborated with schools in Uganda and the Philippines to establish Sustainability-by-Tech Hubs, where students learn the latest technologies and innovations while integrating the SDGs at the core of their projects.
