Martin Gibert

Martin Gibert is an ethics researcher, affiliated with the Research Center on Ethics (CRÉ) and the Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO) at the University of Montréal. He holds a PhD in moral psychology and focused during his postdoctoral time at McGill University on the moral perception of nun-human animals. In normative ethics, his focus lies in properly programming artificial intelligence systems (applications, robots, chatbots). He explores the moral theories to draw inspiration from and the challenges in implementing values, norms, or virtues in artificial moral agents.
