Marshall Marcus

Marshall Marcus, Founder and President of Sistema Europe and Executive & Artistic Director of the European Union Youth Orchestra, boasts a distinguished career in music and cultural leadership. He previously served as Head of Music at London’s Southbank Centre and co-founded the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. A renowned composer and violinist, Marshall performed with prestigious orchestras worldwide and collaborated with eminent musicians. He has been instrumental in developing youth music initiatives, including advising the British Council on international youth orchestra networks. He studied at Oxford and Cambridge Universities and has taught and lectured in over twenty countries.
