Maria Clara Parente is a Rio de Janeiro based artist, journalist and documentary filmmaker that researches imagination for other ways of inhabiting this planet towards regenerative decolonial futures. She co-directed the documentary series What is Emerging (2019), which won the Best Screenplay award at the Rio Web Fest and was screened at the Bilbao International Digital Festival and Die Seriale Germany. She recently directed her first feature film: Regenerar: Possible Paths on a Damaged Planet, which premiered in Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival 2022.
