Lucie Sauvé

Lucie Sauvé is Professor Emeritus in the Faculty of Education and Associate Professor at the Institut des sciences de l’environnement at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She is member of the steering committee of the Centre de recherche en éducation et formation relatives à l’environnement et à l’écocitoyenneté (Centr’ERE), which she founded in 2012 and will direct until 2020. Among her academic commitments, she is the editor of the international research journal Éducation relative à l’environnement – Regards, Recherches, Réflexions. Her main areas of specialization relate to the critical and political dimensions of education, the dynamics of citizen mobilization in environmental issues and ecosocial transformation, and the challenges of educator’s professional development in both formal and non-formal contexts. Her professional experience has been enriched by 20 years of international cooperation in Latin America and her involvement in numerous environmental social movements.
