Liza Loop

Liza Loop has been thinking, teaching and writing about appropriate technologies for more than 50 years. Raised in rural USA, she has practiced organic gardening, recycling, and reusing found materials in many climates and situations. She is equally comfortable with solar ovens and the latest computer technology in the US, Europe, and Africa. Since 1975 she has managed LO*OP Center, Inc. a nonprofit organization dedicated to innovating and sharing the best techniques to solve the problem at hand. She served in the California Governor’s Office of Appropriate Technology in the 1970s.
