Kenneth is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of North Star: Self-Directed Learning for Teens, established in 1996. His commitment to making school optional for all teens arises from his six-year career as a public school teacher, first in Prince George’s County, MD, and then in Amherst, MA. In 2013, he co-founded Liberated Learners, a network of centers based on the North Star model. Liberated Learners has supported dozens of individuals and teams to start centers, and Kenneth offers free monthly webinars about the model for people from all over the world.
