Justin Hefter
Executive Director @ The 30 Birds Foundation
Justin Hefter is the executive director of the 30 Birds Foundation, which rebuilds pathways for Afghan girls to learn, lead, and live freely. In 2021, Justin and the 30 Birds team led the evacuation of more than 450 schoolgirls, family-members and leaders in girls’ education from Afghanistan to safety. Today, they are committed to making sure Afghan girls are able to reach their full potential through mentorship, mental health support, scholarships, and leadership development.
Prior to 30 Birds, Justin helped launch The AMEL Project, which trains the next generation of human rights activists across Africa and the Middle East. Justin is also the former co-founder and CEO of Bandura Games, a company he started with Israeli and Palestinian partners to design games to connect youth across conflict zones. Justin has a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University, and his Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
