Evelyn Araripe

Evelyn Araripe is journalist and environmental educator and a M.Sc. in Education from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar, Brazil). For more than ten years she has been working on climate education for children, teenagers and young people worldwide including topics such as tree planting, agroforestry and United Nations negotiations on Climate Change and Sustainability. She is a German Chancellor Fellow from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) and former president of the Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation board in Brazil. She is also co-founder of Youth Climate Leaders. Currently she is a researcher in the Green Chemistry, Sustainability and Education Research Group at UFSCar and a guest researcher at the Institute of Sustainable and Environmental Chemistry (INSC) at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany.
