Cassi Clausen

Cassi Clausen is the founder of The Open School in Orange County, California. Her journey into self-directed education began with a life-changing visit to Summerhill School in England, inspiring her to create a democratic school focused on empowering children. With extensive experience as a teacher, coach, and tutor, Cassi holds a Bachelor’s degree from Westmont College, a Master of Education from UM St. Louis, and a Master of Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London. After years of preparation, she launched The Open School in 2015. She is also a recently published author.
