Aqdas Darwish

‘Aqdas is an artist currently studying at the Armand Hammer United World College of the American West. Her first act of advocacy emerged as a response to the silent sufferings of her homeland and the shared challenges faced by her sisters. In 2023, her artworks were showcased in galleries across Germany, Turkey, and Poland. Her first published writing was a narrative about an Afghan woman enduring the darkest moments of her life while confronting the taboo of mental health within her family. Aqdas has continued her journey through volunteering, speaking at international conferences, and creating art.
