The Zone Linguaphile is a language community on Discord with a focus on Louisiana Creole, other French Creole languages, other Ebonic Creole languages, minoritized languages indigenous to Africa, the Americas & Europe & more! For colonial languages, we try to boost speakers who wouldn’t normally get as much attention.
We don't censor profanity, politics or history. Lots of discussion about decolonization, orthographies, revitalization of minoritized languages, nuances of complex terminology & geopolitical situations. What isn’t tolerated is language meant to belittle people, whether it’s considered profane or not.
