Wondering School is an independent initiative dedicated to investigating, advocating for, and supporting education as a practice of freedom. Our approach emphasizes autonomy, dialogue, critical thinking, and active engagement with the world. We offer courses and consulting services on liberating and democratic education for schools, learning communities, and educational organizations. We have explored a diverse range of schools, learning communities, and educational projects across the globe, including in Brazil, England, Portugal, the Netherlands, and India, and through this research we produce videos that highlight educational practices aligned with the principles of liberating education. One of our key projects is the full-length documentary School Circles, which focuses on democratic schools in the Netherlands that implement sociocracy.
