Akanksha Education Fund (AEF) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering underserved students in India to realize their potential through transformative school experiences and effective school-to-work transitions. For over 30 years, AEF has supported The Akanksha Foundation in delivering high-quality education across Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur.

Our work focuses on creating sustainable pathways from school to career, including:

1. The School Project: 26 public-private partnership schools delivering quality education.
2. Project Setu: Scaling Akanksha’s best practices to 220 schools across two municipal corporations.
3. School to Work: Providing guidance, partnerships, and opportunities to ensure students access higher education and meaningful careers.

Through these initiatives, AEF equips students with the skills, resources, and agency to move beyond generational poverty and thrive in education and the workforce.
