Voting Rights for Children without age limits.
This is a serious demand that young people brought to the German Constitutional Court. Afterwards all our arguments were laid down in a book – that is now to be published in English (with me as the author). There are people around in the world who are convinced (like me) that this would lead to multiple positive effects – not only for children. And, it wouldn’t damage the safety of elections. I will explain our basic thoughts and what is to be considered to implement it. After an introduction we have time to discuss.
“Voting Rights for Children” is not only a issue around elections or an abstract democracy topic. It is closely associated with the idea of Democratic Schools (compare https://eudec.org) and also with the topics of the new “Rights-Centric Education” network (cf. https://rights-centric.education/).
