Imagine if we could gain a deep understanding of the human condition; explore insights into people and situations we’ve never encountered; connect on an emotional level with both the universal and the particular.

In studying Literature all of these windows are open to us: we can better understand ourselves, others, and the world around us; we are exposed to meaningful truths through others’ experiences; we can explore the kind of world we do (or do not) want to create and live in.

At a time when the teaching of Humanities is being reduced in many countries, it’s essential that we continue to promote the love of studying Literature to children, adolescents and adults. Only through an emotional engagement with our society and the world around us can we create a better world to inhabit.

In this webinar we will discuss the theories behind our ideas, and present our ideas for how and why to promote Literature to different age groups and settings.

Join us to explore Aristotle’s assertion that “Poetry is more philosophical and more serious than history,” and to share your own ideas and experiences.
