Join us for an intimate conversation with parents who have completed their journey through democratic education. These experienced voices will share their initial motivations, the fears they confronted, and the wisdom they’ve gained after years of reflection. This panel offers a rare opportunity to hear honest accounts from those who can now look back on the full arc of their children’s democratic education experience.
During this panel, parents will reflect and share their insights on the circumstances, values, or experiences led these families to choose a radically different educational path; fears in regards of academic learning and social anxieties (College admissions, career readiness, “real world” preparedness); unexpected outcomes—both challenges and gifts they didn’t anticipate; how their children have fared in post-school life (work, higher education, relationships); and the lasting impact on family dynamics and their own parenting philosophy.
