In this 45-minute live-streamed panel discussion, leaders from three universities that span North America and Europe and comprise the Age-Friendly University Global Network Executive Council will discuss the demographic certainty of an aging society and how this represents a significant disruption to traditional models of higher education as well as an opportunity for academic institutions to evolve and adapt, becoming better contributors toward more inclusive learning societies and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Panelists will discuss the robust research around the value and benefits of lifelong and intergenerational learning and how these benefits advance the core educational missions of colleges and universities.

Finally, they will discuss the history of the Age-Friendly University movement, its ten principles for more age-inclusive universities, and the aims and trajectory of the Age-Friendly University Global Network.
