Kay (UK), Stelios (Greece), Claudia (Sweden/UK), Olga (Ukraine) and Thomas (Germany) will each speak for ten minutes about a particularly urgent and current issue in Education, Society, and Communities. We will make our case for social cohesion, climate action competence, and democracy as participation, caring and belonging. Agency through adult education and other formal and informal settings is crucially important, drawing on post-human ideas, whole systems approach, and experiential pedagogies facilitating self-organisation. In sharing insights from our own practices we want to encourage a wider debate as to how transformative learning towards sustainable futures might be achieved in different geographical, cultural and policy contexts. We want to invite participants to join in our shared knowledge production in formal education systems, Lifelong learning, adult education and public service organisations.
